Dr. Paul Gambardella
Dr. Gambardella graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. He completed an internship, surgical residency, and received a master’s degree in surgery from the University of Minnesota. He became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1978. He has published and lectured extensively in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Gambardella was appointed to the staff of the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston and held the following positions: Staff Surgeon (1975-1980), Director of Surgery (1984-1988), and Chief of Staff (1989-2001). He was an Associate Professor of Surgery and Head of the Section of Small Animal Surgery at Tufts University from 1981-1985, and Clinical Professor of Surgery at Tufts from 1989-2001.
Dr. Gambardella is a past President of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the New England Veterinary Medical Association. He received the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Outstanding Service Award – Region I in 1986, and the AAHA Veterinarian of the Year – Fido Award in 1998.
Dr. Gambardella has been the Hospital Director at the Oradell Animal Hospital, Paramus, NJ since 2002. He became a member of VMG-I in 2004 and was appointed to the Board of Directors of VSG, Inc. in 2006.
Paul and his wife, Susan, raised three boys, and now enjoy visiting with their three wonderful grandchildren. They also enjoy boating, water skiing, and traveling.
